 The Newcastle Herald reported the other day about a man who stole money from a pokie machine, and then lost it on another pokie machine! Here is the break down of what happened.
Shayne Sara was playing at a tavern and went to the bar to check a Keno ticket. While he was there, he managed to steal a set of keys to the pokie machines. He was then able to open the pokie machine, steal money out of it by stuffing it down his pants (genius, right?), and then walked out of the tavern.
Unfortunately with all that money burning a hole in his pocket, he decided to return and then proceeded to loose all the money he stole on another machine. No problem though, he still had the keys! So he went ahead and stole more money out of a different machine. Again, Shayne left.
But on his way home, he must have stopped by hotel and lost all his money there. However, at this point he was a pokie thieving expert and stole money out of a pokie machine at the hotel.
The police did question him, but about another completely different matter! It wasn’t only until later when the security cameras were viewed did the police find him. Shayne was waiting at his home for the police. Apparently he owed $800 and was trying recoup his losses.
